MainRoom Ep1 Success!
We came, we saw, we danced, got rained on, got very wet, had a power cut - but we conquered!
24th July kicked off episode 1 of Manchester’s first, dedicated club-culture series.
MainRoom - broadcast live from Escape to Freight Island for their She’s In Control day festival, curated by the fab team: SuperNature Disco.
The weather, well, it was typical Manchester! Rain and drizzle from the start of the 10-hour shindig, but that didn’t deter hundreds of ravers who brought their brolllies, and sang and danced all day in the puddles.

We live-streamed She’s In Control from 4.30pm-8pm - with cross posting partners all over the world, thanks to our United We Stream global network, as well as wonderful Greater Manchester media outlets and clubbing organisations such as: The Manc, Homoelectric, Freight Island, I Love Manchester and Canal Street.
Big up to everyone who shared our content - THANK YOU! It really does help spread the message and support the region’s vibrant grassroots clubbing scene.
Around 20,000 people have tuned in so far from all over the U.K and Germany, Denmark, America, Canada, Spain, Ireland, France and The Balkans. To put this into a visual audience context, that’s the capacity of the O2 Arena in London. RAVE ON!

Unfortunately due to the pesky rain getting in our kit, we had a power cut which caused the stream to fail, and we lost most of Edie’s set (gutted) - but her house music set was sooooo good we have included the 16 mins we did get. Next time we get the chance to film Edie - we will do it indoors!
