StreamGM partner with MIF

Online cultural platform StreamGM have been confirmed as the streaming partners for the world renowned Manchester International Festival.

‘Festival Square’, in the heart of the city, returns 2-18th July in a new COVID-19 safe seated format in Cathedral Gardens with a free daily programme of Greater Manchester talent, with selected events beamed around the world by StreamGM.

StreamGM co-founder Marie Claire Daly said: “Manchester International Festival square programme is always one of the highlights of the festival, giving people the opportunity to come together and enjoy amazing talent from Greater Manchester and beyond in a fun, relaxed way.

“StreamGM is thrilled to be partnering with MIF to bring the brilliant Festival square line-up and atmosphere into peoples’ homes across the globe, expanding the festival’s local and national reach and helping them retain and grow the festival’s international audience and profile while countrywide restrictions remain in place.”

Following a public callout for Manchester-based performers earlier this year, 30 acts have been selected to perform at MIF alongside hundreds of artists from across the region and beyond.

Being able to bring such a wide array of incredibly talented and diverse musicians to not one, but three stages in Cathedral Gardens this year is such an honour and, we hope, a true reflection of this city. We hope that this year Festival Square will provide a safe and free space where anyone feels welcome to reconnect and celebrate.”
