Kicking off the series on Friday, November 8th at 19:00 are Manchester’s rising stars: Shimrise. This female mancunian duo are seriously pushing boundaries in house music. With their signature high energy, daring setlists, Shimrise promise to set the tone for an electrifying series of Room Two.
Their curve balls of dance classics create a nostalgic feel that completely captivates audiences. Fearlessly exploring uncharted territories within house music - the duo continue to showcase their prowess, resulting in them performing at Manchester's iconic Parklife Festival whilst notably also supporting emerging talents like Tarsza (NTS, 6 Music), London's Vanessa Maria (Foundation FM) and Kennedy Taylor (Capital Xtra).
Their high energy performances and personalities shine through, creating a distinctive sound and take on house music.
OLDBOY
At the forefront of grime, garage, bassline and house, Oldboy blends an authentic UK sound with a modern twist—perfectly capturing that gritty, old-school pirate vibe while pushing boundaries with fresh, forward-thinking beats.
Having toured Europe and the US, with standout sets at The Lot Radio, Manchester’s Keep Hush and Baggen in Copenhagen, Oldboy has been unstoppable. With recent releases on Untitled Dist. and his own Front Toward Enemy label, his productions are just as explosive as his sets.
This is a selector who knows how to work the rave, expect him to roll out some weight club-ready cuts drenched in UK sound, blending the best of UK bass culture both old and new.
LAPALACE
Effortlessly combining a broad mix of hazy synths & classic drum breakbeats, Lapalace is an ambient dance project, shining as a lighthouse through a thick fog of nostalgia.
Since establishing the project in its original form in 2020, Lapalace has already been supported by the likes of BBC Introducing. Lily Mumby, the Manchester-based creative behind the project, has been slowly developing a new era for her music: an eclectic selection of songs for her new EP. Although primarily working in genres such as breaks, ambient and jungle, there are no limits to her sound palette.
GHOULISH
One of the most requested producers to emerge onto the scene within the last 12 months and a UKF featured artist alongside being named one UKF's and Mixmag's ones to watch and featured in Mixmag’s best tracks of the year 2022 with his song “Hold Tight”. Ghoulish is causing a ruckus within the UK Club scene with his pristine, genre bending productions and awe-inspiring sets. He had his track Chrome Echoes signed to Warehouse Project Records and has also released on Skream’s label I FEEL.
His impressive production style caught the eyes of many in which he blurs the lines between genres, Ghoulish coins his own style as genreless as the young producer and DJ loves all spans of music, from euphoric dance, laidback house all the way to the depths of core rattling dubstep and grime. This outset allows Ghoulish to craft music and DJ sets that are an enigma to say the least as the young producer loves to show his creative prowess with his unique palette of sounds and track selections at any given time.

FINN
Much of Finn’s sound is inspired by both the melting pot of dance music in Manchester and US West Coast inspiration picked up while living in San Francisco, where he was residing upon the release of debut record ‘Keep Calling’ in 2014 on Local Action Records. Further releases such as 2017’s ‘Sometimes The Going Gets A Little Tough’ and 2019’s blistering summer hit ‘Do What You Want Forever’ created a cult following from those seeking up-tempo toe-tappers filled to the brim with soul and meaning. In 2020 he launched imprint 2 B Real that has featured releases from both local and international talent such as Clemency, Anz, Gage and Martyn Bootyspoon.
Finn has been a fixture in Manchester's underground party scene for around a decade, holding residencies at Chow Down, SOUP and his own function, A Party Called, which launched in March 2020 with Anz, Chunky, Jungle Joe and Tom Boogizm, just before the UK club scene was forced to shutdown for 18 months. Despite this challenge, Finn's musical output remained upbeat through lockdown. Facing down the temptation to shy away from dance music with no clubs open, Finn instead embraced it, treating listeners to big dance anthems and cheeky bangers on his weekly NTS show, his DO!! YOU!!! breakfast show takeovers and his RA podcast. His floor-focused selections kept admirers on their toes - excited to reminisce about those magnetic dancefloor moments.
Room Two’s Producer, Joe Heys explains: “The most exciting artists I’ve ever discovered have come from small spaces and rooms on the margins of raves, clubs and parties. Room Two keeps that spirit alive, showcasing fresh talent from all over Greater Manchester and gives dance music lovers from all over the world, a chance to experience tomorrow’s headliners today.”
Don’t miss a beat — tune in weekly to Room Two and experience the energy and innovation of these rising stars before they start selling out the super clubs of Ibiza, Berlin, Amsterdam and headlining festivals across the globe.
