The Covasettes (frontman Chris, bass guitarist Jamie Mcintyre, lead guitarist Matt Hewlett, and drummer Matt Buckley) formed when they were in university in Manchester together some seven years ago. The band have a strong list of achievements under their belt including sold-out shows across the country, over 11 million streams of their music, repeated national radio play on Radio 1, Radio XS, BBC Introducing, and have recently made the reputable: ‘Spotify Indie List’.
The band will embark on a full UK tour in autumn, including a huge homecoming gig at New Century Hall, Manchester. Tour dates and tickets - here (GO AND SEE THEM!)
Hi Sienna are a Manchester based indie pop four-piece led by enigmatic vocalist Poppy-Jo Chester. Their unique song-writing, fun melodies and boisterous live performances are known for captivating audiences and we predict big things for this band!
Lead singer Poppy-Jo husky vocals are often compared to the likes of Cerys Matthews with the band mostly taking influence from the 80’s and 90’s music scene and their Manchester roots.
Catch Hi Sienna live at the brilliant (and totally free) Deansgate Mews Festival at Lions Den in Manchester on the 25th May, and they will also be throwing a huge gig/EP launch party at Band on the Wall in the Northern Quarter Manchester on Saturday 20th July (for tickets head to their socials).
Last but by no means least is the wonderful Nico Harmony. Nico has been making music since her early teens with her style and delivery likened to Morcheeba or Lana Del Ray. Her recent self released debut album on Bandcamp ‘Love Love Love’ is available now.
Spill The Sound is a bi-weekly show filmed in The Yard Mcr, a former victorian school in the heart of Manchester’s Cheetham Hill.
This unique setting with stunning acoustics, partnered with StreamGM’s production team and broadcast support from Blackmagic Design’s gives local acts a high quality, global platform to showcase their music.
The show presented by Louise Schofield features the best indie music talent from across The North - blending new and unsigned acts alongside established headliners.
