These venues are the scenes of legendary nights out and gigs, and act as the proving grounds for bands, singers, comedians, MC's, DJ's, musicians, promoters and music producers from all backgrounds and genres.

Apart from providing engagement and entertainment for live music fans and the general public, the city-region’s grass roots venues play a vital role in the development of local, unsigned bands and artists.

They are places where magic can happen - and where on any given night, a group of lucky fans might stumble on a budding performer who's song or show might influence the rest of their lives.
